I've just decided that my drab page needs to be rehashed. I'm going to rip the fucking thing apart soon!

update.

I just happened to check Nic's page the other day and he had commented about the lackluster blogging performance of our group of people. I absolutely agree and wish I could validate my absence with a good reason. I can't. *shrugs*

My brother got my parents a satellite radio for mothers/fathers day. I just started listening to it today, but on XM channel 43 is the unsigned/college/indie station. An Elliot Smith song was the first track I heard. At least there's a decent station on here.

I thought I had been on a gluten-free diet for 6 months, but I counted it up, and it's actually only been 4 months and a bit. On July 10th it will be 6 months of wheat and gluten-free existence (with the small exceptions of some cross contaminated food at restaurants).

It seems that even though my second intestinal biopsy was negative, I still do have Celiac's Disease. The age of 20 is a relatively early age to be tested, and they could have gotten samples from the wrong areas of my intestine. What's important is that I have been feeling better.

Also, a lot of people have commented independently that I have more colour in my face. I have also noticed that my hair has been falling out less, maybe because now I'm actually getting nutrition.

I didn't have fast food for about a month before I went on the gluten free diet, so it turns out that I have been Fast-food free for five months! It thought I would miss it a lot more... and I had a ton of trouble with it in the beginning because I was craving burgers. It's died down now, and I only occasionally crave one of those Costco hot dogs.

I also have two new jobs, at Coles Bookstore and at Bluenotes. We'll see how they go, but it's a little bit weird getting back into the swing of regular things after being ill for so long.

The good thing about right now is I can post on here about positive things. =)

If you happened to check the CBC Radio 3 website yesterday....

This was what the main page looked like...

Yep. I'm famous. And I'm seductively laying on the counter of Meow Records in a 'vote meow, vote now!' t shirt... which incidentally, thre were lots of people in the store when we were taking these pictures (awkward turtle).

Meow is part of a contest that cbc radio 3 is hosting right now, to find the best independent record store in Canada! Meow beat out other record stores in winnipeg, halifax, vancouver, etc.. to be in the Top 5. So, if you want to vote for meow records, please go to radio3.cbc.ca and vote for meow records. You will have to register first, but it is all worth it. Vote today and tomorrow, on saturday the winner is announced!
